Program Manager

The Manager of the Minority Business Enterprise Program (MBE) is located within the Department of Administration's (DOA) Division of Enterprise Operations (DEO).  The Manager performs highly responsible professional work involving a wide variety of activities designed to promote State contracting with MBE firms.  The Manager's primary function is to assist MBE firms effectively participate in the State of Wisconsin's competitive procurement process. 

 

The MBE Manager is available to meet one on one with minority businesses, business groups, community organizations and Chambers of Commerce. The MBE Manager:

  • Identifies State Business Opportunities.
  • Facilitates MBE certification for vendors.
  • Serves as liaison to public and non-profit resources for technical and management services.
  • Reviews and monitors enterprise-wide contracts for the purchase of goods and services for compliance with State MBE policies and provisions.
  • Serves as an advocate for minority businesses pursuing contracts with statge agencies and the University of Wisconsin System; and
  • Through outreach activities, conferences, workshops, seminars and panel discussions seeks to maximize the opportunity for MBE participation in state contracts.
