Wisconsin's proportion of the US population is 1.9 percent. Correspondingly, Wisconsin should receive 1.9 percent of federal domestic funding.
The Intergovernmental Services Team has two primary responsibilities. It analyzes federal issues and their impact on Wisconsin to facilitate decisions by the Governor and support the Federal-State Relations Office in Washington, DC (Washington Office). It also prepares issues papers to assist decision-makers at all levels advance issues, and works with various stakeholder groups including state agencies.
The Intergovernmental Services Team's second responsibility is to provide assistance in obtaining federal grants and procurement through education, outreach, training and other activities with the Procurement Technical Assistance Centers in Wisconsin. It works with state associations to assist grant efforts and reviews and comments on grant applications upon request.
