Wisconsin Administrative Code REQUIRES employers to provide training to workers who use hazardous chemicals to ensure they are thoroughly familiar with proper handling, disposal and emergency procedures relevant to their responsibilities. The training covers the management and proper disposal of products such as fluorescent lamps, mercury switches, laboratory chemicals, oils, antifreeze, paints, thinners, cleaners, corrosives & poisons.
The Bureau of State Risk Management sponsors this free training for employees working at state-owned or operated facilities and to employees of municipalities, tribal governments, public K-12 schools, technical colleges and universities.
