State Risk Management

The Bureau of State Risk Management (BSRM) provides risk management and risk financing services to State of Wisconsin agencies.  We provide active leadership to assist all State of Wisconsin agencies in protecting their employes, the general public and the State’s physical assets. Through our highly skilled, dedicated staff we provide guidance and direction to empower state agency staff in preventing losses and minimizing the impact of loss.

Rollie Boeding has served as the Director of the Bureau of State Risk Management since 1991.  BSRM Program Managers include Sherry Rowin, Property & Liability Manager, Jason Gates, Deputy Bureau Director and Laura Ellingson, Worker's Compensation Program Manager. 2013 Office Ergonomic Coordinator Training

2013 Wisconsin Hazardous Materials Awareness & Waste Disposal Training

Wisconsin Administrative Code REQUIRES employers to provide training to workers who use hazardous chemicals to ensure they are thoroughly familiar with proper handling, disposal and emergency procedures relevant to their responsibilities. The training covers the management and proper disposal of products such as fluorescent lamps, mercury switches, laboratory chemicals, oils, antifreeze, paints, thinners, cleaners, corrosives & poisons.

 

The Bureau of State Risk Management sponsors this free training for employees working at state-owned or operated facilities and to employees of municipalities, tribal governments, public K-12 schools, technical colleges and universities.
