Property & Loss Control Workshops

The Property and Loss Control Workshops will focus primarily on property loss control and life safety for those with responsibilities in risk management, facilities, student housing, maintenance, environmental health and safety and loss prevention. Specifically, these educational workshops will target hot work permits, impairment handling, electrical and mechanical room storage, L.P.G., chemicals, metals and combustible/flammable liquids storage, approved storage cabinets and containers, ventilation requirements, spray booths, recommended inspection requirements, maintenance and testing of fire suppression equipment, fire pumps, bar coding for fire extinguishers and many other property loss control and life safety topics.

The workshops will provide each State Agency and Institution with an opportunity to enhance or create best practice procedures, guidelines and policies in property loss control within their own program areas.
