The 2009 Report on County GIS Data Systems is a report on the Wisconsin GIS Inventory survey results as of March 2009.  This survey has been an annual Wisconsin Land Information Program (WLIP) requirement for both the 2008 and 2009 grant years and had full participation from all 72 counties.

Annual Survey
As of 2008, the WLIP annual survey requirement changed in structure and format from past years.  The Wisconsin GIS Inventory survey, managed in cooperation with the State Cartographer's Office, now fulfills this requirement.  While the survey is an online national survey tool, it also includes specific “state questions” based on previous WLIP surveys (1998-2003) and formulated through state agency and county cooperation.

For more detailed information on the Wisconsin GIS Inventory survey and development of state questions within the survey, please visit the Wisconsin State Cartographer’s Office website http://www.sco.wisc.edu/wisclinc/survey/   A.J. Wortley, Sr. Outreach Specialist at the State Cartographer's Office, can provide assistance with filling out the survey and can be reached at (608) 265-8106 or lwortley@wisc.edu.
