Wisconsin Tribal casinos are operated and regulated under the authority of the Compacts mutually entered into between the Tribes and the State of Wisconsin, as well as the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA). The Compacts require that the electronic games of chance be operated as part of a computer network, or slot accounting system, which performs the recording of machine functions in real time as well as for later auditing. In addition to electronic game and slot accounting system operations, the Office of Indian Gaming and Regulatory Compliance (OIGRC) conducts audits of all aspects of tribal gaming operations. This includes the surveillance area, the money handling areas, security procedures and Blackjack operations. The OIGRC performs these audits on an announced and unannounced basis. For further information, contact John Dillett, Director of the Office of Indian Gaming and Regulatory Compliance. Public Document Section
