Best Project Awards

ANNOUNCEMENT

The Division of State Facilities announces the enhancement of its annual Design and Construction Awards.

For more than twenty years, DSF presented awards to firms on many of its projects based on individual disciplines such as architecture, engineering, sustainability and construction. In some cases, these awards duplicated the award programs of many professional organizations that sponsored awards programs for their membership.

Beginning in 2011, DSF will solicit applications for two exemplary projects to be considered for a "Best Project Award". This new recognition is to celebrate the success of  State of Wisconsin projects by acknowledging the coordinated contribution of all project team members towards a successful project. Awards will be presented in the category of new construction and renovation. Each discipline in the chosen projects will be publically recognized at a meeting of the State of Wisconsin Building Commission.

The tentative schedule for the DSF Best Project Award Program is:

  • A call for nominations will be made in September which will close in the third week of December 2011.
  • A selection committee will review and decide the winners in January 2012
  • Winners will be informed in the third week of January 2012
  • Presentations will be made at the February 2012 meeting of the State Building Commission.

Design and Construction Awards

Building and maintaining State of Wisconsin facilities involves dedication and hard work by skillful people and organizations. DSF wishes to recognize those individuals and companies that best demonstrate the qualities and effort necessary to achieve excellence in design, construction, and service.

It is in this spirit that the Department of Administration, Division of State Facilities, administers its Annual Design and Construction Awards.
