Topics covered in this course include defining procurement, a discussion of its importance, provides a starting point for understanding, analyzes who is responsible, reviews the process and how it works, provides an understanding of when to use a Request for Bid (RFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP), and when key policies apply. The course also covers State Statutes, Administrative Code, Procurement Policy and Procedures as well as an introduction to State Procurement Contracts, VendorNet, and Procurement Ethics.
